Powers and Spells

Amount of Ability Stones: 8

Endurance: 22 -above average

Which Spells:
Scratch || Any || 1/5 || Description - The user's claws become lightly coated with whatever element they posses and can be used to scratch an opponent with them.

Heal || Light || 2/5 || Description - The user is able to heal another cat’s external cuts, bruises or other wounds. This does not heal any deep internal bleeding though.

Shine || Light || 3/5 || Description - Allows the user to make their entire body glow white and provide a light source for everyone nearby.

Shield || Light || 3/5 || Description - Allows the user to create a shield of bright light around them. It protects against all other elements and can protect up to 3 others at one time. It takes up a good amount of energy to  keep it up for too long.

Beam || Light || 3/5 || Description - The user constraints light into a single beam, the narrower the more powerful. This allows for more targeted attacks at a long distant.

Emotion Sharing || Light || 3/5 || Description - You would think it a psychic ability, but it’s not, surprisingly enough. This allows the user to influence the emotions of another cat. It can cause happiness, sadness, or even love. This power is discouraged for it lightly grazes hypnotism. Forcing an emotion onto someone isn't very honorable at all, now is it? You can usually tell when someone is under the influence of someone else; for their eyes grow a pale yellow tint to them and the cat themselves seem to be overrun by a single emotion.

Shards || Any || 4/5 || Description - The user creates shards of it's element by powerfully compacting the element into crystal-like shards to be used to pierce an enemy.

Sun Warrior || Light || 5/5 || Description - much like 'Shadow, I Am', the user is able to create a being of light to fight along side them. It is a very difficult move and can be draining if used for long periods of time.

Personality:

Playful: Sairen is always in the mood to mess around. He isn't really serious, even when he should be. He's a great friend to have when you're trying to forget something, or need a good laugh, but if you just want to chat it out, this is not your guy.

Mischievous: Generally, yes, Sairen follows the rules, but from time to time, he likes to cause a little trouble with friends. He knows there is a line not to cross and doesn't want to get into serious trouble, he's pretty quick to back off when his tail's on the line.

Dedicated: Sairen doesn't give up. He's a tom of action and will do what he feels needs to be done. He doesn't know how to give up, once he gets something in his head, its hard to get it out.

Unforgiving: He holds grudges. Long grudges. Sairen doesn't really know how to let things slide, he hangs on as tightly as he can. In the past, this had been mostly passive, though after his travels, he has learned that no matter how big your bark, if you aren't willing to bite, you will get bitten.

Impatient: Sairen tends to go charging in without thinking things through. He doesn't like waiting for things, and if someone isn't getting it to him fast enough, he will get it himself.

Callous: Sairen doesn't tip-toe around the truth, he will come out and say whatever needs to be said. He gets uncomfortable with serious things and tends to just say what needs to be said.

Trustworthy: He can be trusted with all things, secrets, loyalty, he holds all and won't say a thing to anyone. He can be counted on until the end, and you can be sure that he will be there until the end.

Unreliable: Sairen will absolutely lie if he has to. He wants to stay distant from others and will lie, cheat, and steal if it means staying ahead of the game. He's convinced the world is out to get him, so he will leave without warning and keeps to himself. It would not be unreasonable for him to promise something and skip town before he can fulfill it.

Adventurous: This is part of the reason he wanted to become a seeker, Sairen has never been afraid of stepping outside the place he called home. He's not afraid of being in a strange place on his own and is known for wondering off.

Paranoid: Due to issues with the spies in the regions, Sairen has grown paranoid. He has issues trusting others and keeps his friends close. Very close. He snaps easily now and his mood changes like the drop of a hat. It is best to be careful around the tom. He is not afraid to use his rank against you.

Aloof: Sairen has lost his need to stay in one place. He no longer feels comfortable staying in the same place for a long time, so he often migrates around, and doesn't form very strong relationships with anyone he meets. He has a hard time trusting others, and will often disappear without warning or without saying goodbye.

History:

Parents:  Thistle was born to two loving parents. Lilona, her mother, was a sweet tempered Light Hunter. She was relatively young and silver pelted with bright blue eyes. She had many friends, traveled in many circles, including one with a black tom Monarch. He was a cocky Fire warrior, but kind, and completely infatuated with Lilona. He followed her around constantly, she elected to ignore him most of the time. His friends found it particularly humorous to see him so dejected. He even went so far as to mope around hoping to get some sympathy from the pretty silver tabby, but no dice. She continued to regard him as she had for so long, secretly glad he was leaving her alone. Eventually, Monarch was talked into getting back to his usual self, before this girl he was trying so hard to prove something to, and went on his usual way. It wasn't until he was back doing what he was supposed to do that she took notice. He was strong, and good at what he did, when he was actually doing it. Monarch was surprised when she actually started talking to him. The rest was quick work. They were relatively young and eager to be in relationships, and were both well liked among the clan. The next year, Lilona was expecting kits. Her pregnancy was healthy, if not filled with a bit of anxiety. She was often found chewing her paws late at night and most times had trouble sleeping, but the birth was a quick one, She had three kits, two small sons, and a daughter, the eldest of the three was named Sairen, and had the silver pelt of his mother with black stripes, while the younger son Mien, was a darker grey tabby. Thistle was the last born, she was a silver tabby just like her mother, with the fiery eyes and a charcoal tail, like her father

Kithood: There childhood was relatively uneventful. They did things all kits did, and were perfect at causing trouble. Sairen was quick to take charge in there mis-adventures. He often lead expeditions into the older cat's dens, generally just wanting to look around and see what there future had in store, but mostly they just ended up causing a mess they would have to clean up once the others found out what they had done. When they were a bit older, nearing the age they would become rookies, the freckles on the paws began to appear. They both had the same light colored freckles, as would be expected, neither were really disappointed, instead they went showing them off to whoever would pay them enough attention until the spots were gone again. This only fueled the pairs sense of adventure, and when their mother was a bit more distracted with watching a younger pair of kits, they snuck off, out of camp and into the forest. They didn't go far, but they were unaware of that. They felt they had been walking for most of the day when they found a little alcove of stones. Sairen charged forward and claimed they would be searching for pieces of the sacred stone. They started right away, scraping up there pads as they turned over stone after stone, having no idea what they were looking for even looked like, they gathered stones they thought looked a bit strange and made a small pile, that quickly grew into a large pile, as they went. It was later int he evening before they were found by a returning patrol of warriors, including their father, who reprimanded them for sneaking out of camp, but seeing as they hadn't gone far, or really done any damage, they weren't punished. When they returned to camp, there mother was frantic to see they were unharmed and they were quickly sent of to bed.

Rookie: Before long, both brothers were Rookie-d off in there own right. Mien began training to become a hunter, while Sairen became a searcher rookie, something he had hoped for since their little trip out of camp. He tries not to remember that time, now realizing how foolish they had been, actually believing they could find sacred stones right out of camp. He trained hard with the fist ability stone he was given at his ceremony. He had difficulty at first, learning to tame this new power, and his guide suggested perhaps he should choose a companion, that they could possibly help him with his training, so the young tom went to the tamers and received a King snake named Nyx as his companion, after the initial bonding was complete, Sairen started showing great improvement with his skills, and once he had master his first ability stone he was given a second, and later a third. One afternoon Sairen was dictated to train on his own for the morning until his mentor was finished with a search of a small section of the territory. He wasn't out long when he stumbled upon a rabbit hole, and not in a good way. He twisted his paw and tore a claw, fortunately a young north region healer was within ear shot, unfortunately, Glenda, as she had introduced herself, had crossed the scent line to steal herbs. None the less, she patched up the young searcher and grateful, decided it would be best to let her keep the herbs, in exchange, she gave the searcher "permission" to explore the north region whenever he liked. He returned to camp, a little worse for ware where his own region's healer told him to take it easy for a few days. He was reprimanded for his clumsiness and instructed not to leave camp. Finally, with the go ahead of the healer, Sairen was sent on a hunting excursion with another rookie, a dark element named Ronin. Initially, the tom was aggravated by the cat, finding him annoying and a bit suspicious (for obvious reasons), that did not last for long. Ironically, Sairen was snooping around an old rabbit hole when a snake popped out, biting him in the face. Sairen panicked, alerting Ronin to his predicament. His face began to swell and instantly jumped to the conclusion that the snake had been poisonous and was going to die. He began apologizing for everything he had thought about the tom, asking him to say goodbye to his mother. Thankfully, Ronin managed to keep a level head and help the tom back to camp where he received treatment for the bite and, once again, told to stay in camp for another few days. Frustrated at being confined, he managed to wiggle his way into getting released early, his face looking just as good as it had before with only a small scar to show for it. He decided to take up Glenda's offer and take to exploiting the north region, starting with the northwest cave, not too far from the border. He found himself lost in the strange territory, hiding from patrols, finally he is spotted by a familiar face, Glenda who ends up joining him in his exploration. Not long after, a patrol found themselves in disagreement with the north region, and a fight ensued. A young tom by the name of Linal, the current south region adviser, took the brunt of the damage. He returned to camp with a severely damaged shoulder. After nearly a moon of trying to work through the injury, the tom decided to retire from the position.

Adviser:
Sairen was close to completing his training when he was chosen to be the next adviser. No one was as surprised as him. He accepted the position, having no reason not to. His family cheered for him. He was a natural leader, others told him, even as a kit he had been the one to take charge in their schemes. He was kind and charming, strong, but not prone to confrontation. With time, he was prone to become a great and wise leader, but for now, he just felt like a rookie with a lot of responsibility just place on his shoulders. He now had more to worry about then just becoming a full searcher, which had been his entire dream for as long as he could remember. He never thought of the possibility that he could become a leader one day. Sairen had always looked up to Damien, as most cats did with their leader, but now, he watched him more closely, trying to learn everything he could, walk the way a leader walks, talks the way a leader talks, to be kind and powerful, forceful but not cruel. He had no idea how he was expected to tell full grown cats what to do when not long before they were ordering him around. All in all, he had a lot to learn.

Leader:
It hadn't been long Sairen was adviser when Damien went out on patrol, to never return. Naturally, Sairen sent patrols to find him, but after many days, and many patrol, nothing was found. It was as if the tom had just up and disappeared. This meant one thing, Sairen was leader now. He was barely a year old, nothing more than a rookie with barely enough teachings to know how to speak to a large group, let alone lead a region. It didn't help that the weather suddenly took a turn for the worst. The south region suffered a horrible drought, making it difficult to find food. Water disappeared at an alarming rate, and the young tom struggled to keep his cats in check. He set about a plan to water the forests and carry water back to camp, spending many days and nights doing so himself. Sleep was a commodity to the tom. He was being pushed further and further to his limit. He held it together for some time, allowing the west region cats to stay in his camp when they were forced to leave their camp die to wild fires. For a while, the increase in able bodies helped, and Sairen appreciated having another cat in charge that could take some of the wait off his shoulders, but the dying territory could not hold so many cats for so long.

Sairen was forced to make a tough decision, force the west region cats out, to be homeless and starving, or watch his own cats starve. He chose the first, asking Cronan to take his cats and leave. There was nothing he could do, but watch. News had spread that the other regions had suffered similar fates, leaving the east and west to stay in the neutral territories. A gathering was held soon after when the regions came together in an attempt to help solve their problems, Sairen even managed to stop a fight, but things could not remain that simple for long. An ancient group of dark cats, the followers, of which many thought were a myth, revealed themselves. They were indeed alive, and as scary as stories foretold. That was when his anxiety started. Sairen returned home with his cats, working hard to prepare them for the difficulties to come, but every night his dreams were haunted with their dark faces. The next gathering went just as smoothly. An eastern cat by the name of Lilith revealed herself to be a spy, one to hear the voices of Bane, and the terror of finding a traitor in his mix drove the tom mad.

He would not be betrayed.

He would not be made a fool of.

He wasn't scared anymore.

Someone needed to leave.

Loner
Sairen couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't keep looking over his shoulder. He could barely sleep, and he just couldn't keep putting himself through it anymore. The tom was constantly on edge, so he left. Just up and walked out, he said nothing to no one and just kept walking. He left the territories, with one thought in his mind, find Damien. When Damien was around, things had been good, peaceful, followers hadn't been an issue, and he had certainly been a much better leader than he was. Sairen was little more than a kit who had lost his kithood. Everything had gone down hill form there, so his idea was to find Damien, bring his back to the south region, and fix everything. It was all he could do.

He walked for a long time before seeing anyone. Luckily, he managed to avoid running into any followers, but that didn't mean life was easy for the tom. He wasn't a trained hunter, so food was hard to come by. He lost a lot of weight and often had to resort to scavenging. The first cat he met, he tried to steal from him. That was when he discovered something else... he had never been taught to fight either. He got tore up pretty badly, covered in blood, Sairen was pretty sure that would be the end of him, but the tom he had attacked saw how skinny he was, how miserable, and took pity on him. That was when he met Cyne. A rouge that did not even know the regions existed, though he was fascinated by the glowing stones around the tom's neck.

Sairen was reluctant at first, but Cyne pushed him, taught him to hunt and how to fight with his claws, something Sairen would need in the future. After a long time, Sairen found himself able to sleep, trusting in the strange tom enough to possibly call him a friend. It was refreshing. Sairen had almost forgotten what it was like to trust someone, to be around them and not be constantly thinking that the moment you closed your eyes or turned your head, they would kill you. Plus, everything Cyne had taught him made him feel less like a sitting duck just waiting to made fresh kill.

Just as Sairen began to feel comfortable in his new life, just wandering around, clinging to survival, everyday having to fight to live, Cyne left. Sairen doesn't much talk about what happened between them and what was said, but both toms went their separate ways, with Sairen deciding he would return to the regions, though not to the south region. He felt he had learned what he needed to survive, and could make it on his own, and that was what he was going to do. He didn't want to be afraid anymore, and he wasn't running anymore.

RolePlay Sample:

Lilith said nothing, but took the cue to step up her pace so she matched his pace beside him. She didn’t want to get on his bad side, though from the way he was looking at her, she was well on her way to getting their. She hadn’t dealt with someone like him before, and her usual ploys didn’t seem to be working. He wasn’t cocky or self absorbed, and didn’t seem to need to demonstrate his authority at every turn, while refreshing, it scrambled her. She was used to reading cats easily and manipulating herself to fit into the prototype they had of her, but Andus was abrasive and right to the point, cutting through all nonsense and staying on topic. He was no nonsense, and Lilith was confused as to what she was supposed to be for him.

Lilith nodded to what he had said about her cover being blown, keeping her jade eyes focused forward. She didn’t like thinking about what would happen if she was figured out. That would mean failure on her part. She was always careful, but she could always slip up and that would mean an end to her usefulness, at least in her eyes. She blinked up at him, a bit surprised when Andus said she wouldn’t be abandoned, honestly Lilith had always thought, and been told, that she would have to earn her spot in the followers, it wouldn’t be handed to her. Lilith had always assumed that meant she had to contribute something worthwhile, like handing the region weaknesses to him on a silver platter. She said nothing, but visibly relaxed at the notion. She was comforted by the idea she would have somewhere to go if she was compromised.

“I plan on leaving, trust me.” she mewed, a bit sourly, but not aimed towards him, more towards herself and the situation. Not that she was complaining. This was her place, and she wouldn't know what to do with herself if she suddenly found herself in the followers. Comforting, but overwhelming. “I’ve always taken walks, not just to meet with the others, though I will stop if you think it would compromise the plan.” She mentally cringed at the thought of being trapped in camp with two regions, but it wouldn’t be out of the question for her to just stop. She could always just say she thought she had seen that big ‘lightning element’ and gotten scared. No one would blame her, and she wouldn’t have to leave camp alone again. That would give her a pretty solid alibi, but could also complicate things for the bounty hunters.
