Personality:

[:bulletred:| :bulletyellow: | :bulletgreen:]

:bulletyellow:Placid:This is her most prominent trait. Because she has been pretending for so long to be someone she is not, Lilith never really had a chance to discover who she is, so she often comes off as 'flat'. When she wants something, she will often try and change herself to fit what that cat wants to see or here. The only exception to this is Andus, as she isn't sure what he wants, and that leaves her reeling. Many social stations are lost on her.

:bulletred: Cold: While she has spent her entire life with the East region, she would sell them all out in a heart beat. She cares little for others and only looks out for herself. She is calculating and precise, when she hits, she hits hard and right where it hurts. She should not be underestimated.

:bulletgreen:Thoughtful: Lilith puts a lot of thought into things. She doesn’t just jump into a situation and can spend hours trapped in her thoughts. She is a bit of a day dreamer and can get distracted at times, but she is very intelligent and it is difficult to out think her.

:bulletgreen:Patient: This goes along with her thoughtful trait. Lilith has been taught to wait for what she wants and is fully capable of doing so. She is able to be denied her wants without throwing a fit and taking failure like an adult. She doesn’t like to cause a scene.

:bulletyellow:Clever: She is the type of cat that thinks everything through. You may think she is only two steps ahead of you, but really she has already finished the game. It is really hard to outsmart her and she enjoys puzzles and riddles.

:bulletred:Manipulative: Oh you thought she was naïve? Innocent? Wrong. She is able to make the perfect persona. Thanks to teachings from her mother, Lilith is a master manipulator. She knows how to get what she wants without you realizing you are giving it to her, or that she even wants it. She is ruthless.

:bulletred:Nosy: Lilith loves to know things, and sometimes she likes to know things a little too much. She asks very personal questions, and can get a little annoying when she wants to know who is going where and why. This mainly comes from being a spy. She has an internal need to know everything.

:bulletyellow: Independent: Lilith does not let her disabilities changer her. She relies on no one and she prides herself on being able to feed and defend herself without help. She can not be easily pushed around and it takes a lot to change her mind.

:bulletyellow:Secretive: While wanting to know everything about everyone else, she tends to keep things to herself, her secrets, and others. If you tell her something personal, chances are, everyone will know about it instantly. Don’t tell her anything.

History:

Parents:
The stories were a lie. Lilith knew that. Her father was not a fallen warrior, and her mother was not nearly as kind and understanding as she let on. Nora was not just an East region warrior, but a she-cat from a long line of spies for the followers. Like her mother before her, Nora had been taught in the ways of the followers. Every week since she was an apprentice, she met with a bounty hunter, giving the information she and her mother had gathered over the week. After several months of that she managed to finagle the tom into teaching her more aggressive moves. She didn’t just want to be a great warrior, but a great follower. As a spy, she was really only a half member, someone to be used but not accepted. She was seen as weak because she grew up in the soft regions, but this male was ‘willing’ to teach her a few things, thanks to a bit of nagging from her mother, and she took to the lessons like a fish to water.

She had to be careful how much she was seen leaving camp, especially as she started getting older. She had to hide bruises and scratch marks, but after every lesson she grew stronger. As her mother grew older, she began taking over more of her spy duties, her mother taught her everything she could, how to listen and learn things others don’t want you know, and know it without them knowing you do. She was accomplished, well liked in the followers as far as spies went at least. She could hold her own in a fight and she was skilled at getting the information she wanted. Meanwhile, her and the bounty hunter that had taken over retrieving her, Vedil. “friends” was probably an overstatement, but they were definitely allies. They respected one another and neither had to worry about the other not showing up. They were dependable and Nora felt she could trust him. Around then, her mother was much older, she had retired and began pushing Nora to have kittens, she had never really considered herself the motherly type, but it was tradition in her family, to raise the next spy, so Nora complied. The only real issue was to find a father. Nora had not been a very romantic type and systematically denied any tom that had come on to her, leaving the picking in her region pretty slim. Not that she was impressed by any of them. They were weak. Nora wanted her kittens to have a leg up in the world, and none of her region mates were making the cut. The only logical option was to find a follower to do the work for her.

She approached her friend Vedil. Their romantic involvement was nonexistent, though not from lack of trying. Vedil had been hoping to pursue the she-cat, she was tough, smart, and knew what she wanted and how to get it, but she simply was not interested. He obliged her request, knowing full well he would not be fully involved, though he promised to try. He had really come to like Nora, though her gung hoe attitude about the whole thing was a bit intimidating. Nora was fully prepared to raise her kittens on her own, and already had a plan on who to pin them on. A simpleton tom, Jone, who had a crush on her since they were kittens, and had a dark pelt like Videl which could explain any similarities the kittens might share with their real father. He was klutz, an idiot, and gullible. She came to him, using her reputation in her region as the spark, telling him she had fallen for another tom in another region, but now that she was expecting kittens, he was refusing to acknowledge that something ever happened. She was alone and scared, and this tom was more than happy to tell everyone the kittens were his. The moons went on, tension between the regions was growing, and the tom was beginning to grow suspicious of the true nature of the kittens father. The time came when she was meant to meet up with Videl, and she knew she was being watched, but just couldn’t skip out, so she was extra careful when leaving camp, made it a quicker one then usual and returned back to her nest in the nursery. She thought she had gotten away with it, but the next morning Jone confronted her, asking why she had met a stranger in the middle of the night. She pretended to confess that she was still in love with the father of her kittens and couldn’t bring herself to stop seeing him. Jone fell for it hook line and sinker, but she couldn’t risk him finding out the truth. The next meeting she had with Videl she told him of the tom and he promised to take care of it. Sure enough, not long after a normal border fight suddenly escalated,  Jone was left dead.
Of course she played the devastated mate role well. Taking long walks to clear her mind, but in actuality meeting with Videl. He doted on her, and after the whole Jone incident she was starting to amuse his romantic interests, she owed him right? Plus he wasn’t bad to be around, things could be worse, so she stuck with him, being extra careful not to be caught again. She would do anything he asked, so when he requested their first born be named after the darkness and power she would ultimately be trained to control, she agreed. She gave birth on her own, to one solitary kitten with his bright green eyes and dark coat. She looked just like her father, something her mother cherished, and therefor named her Lilith, meaning dark monster, knowing she would be just as successful as she had been earning the trust of others and handing the information to the followers.

Kithood:

The first thing Lilith learned as a kitten was to keep quiet. Somethings were meant to be a secret, like the walks she took with her mother. Most times that’s all they did, go to a little clearing out of camp where Nora would tell her daughter all that there was needed to know about being a spy. She was told all about Bane and the work he did for the followers, and all about the followers themselves. She absorbed everything, and was eager to learn everything her mother would teach her. She was taught to be social. Ask questions. She was a kitten, it would be normal to ask odd questions like “what are you doing?” “why?” “where?” “with who?”. No one would think twice of a curious kit. She was also told to make friends. Being friends with everyone was key. That way she would be able to float form one group to another without raising suspicious. She needed to appear compassionate. People spill their secrets to those they believe will listen and zip their lips. Most importantly, she was taught to keep secrets. She knew at a young age how to tell if someone was on to you. She learned all the skills she would need as a spy while she was still little.

Why they didn’t go to a clearing, they met with Videl. Lilith was excited to meet a follower, an actual follower, these amazing powerful cats she was always told about. They were like gods to her, and finally meeting her father had been everything she had been told about him. He was strong, and they had the same eyes. She took pride in the fact she looked just like him, and Videl was proud all the same to have a kitten that looked so much like him and showed so much promise. He taught her the basics, like he would a kitten in the followers. He taught her to hunt and survive on her own. That was a big skill the followers cherished. She wanted to be independent and strong like her father and she tried her hardest to impress him. He pushed her hard, but was always gentle with her. He wouldn’t admit it, but he had a bit of a soft spot for the kitten that reminded him so much of himself. She was spunky, had attitude, but was also just as manipulative and clever as her mother. She could go from being her sassy self, to an innocent mewling kit that even had him fooled. She had promise of being a great spy, and she expressed the want to join him in the followers. He promised her one day she would, but for now she would do her work in the east region.

Just as her mother told her, and to make her father proud, she became friends with all the kittens in the nursery. She was close with a group of older kittens who ranked up before her, but once they left her, she switched her attention to a younger litter. She was well liked, and no one thought anything of the curious kitten that was always in everyone’s business. She wanted to know what they were doing at all times and why.

Not long before she was due to rank up, light blue freckles appeared on her paws. At first she thought she would be like her mother, a water element, but after her mother’s inspection, she concluded Lilith was actually an ice element, which was a relief since she had been worried she would be a dark element like Vedil. She was ecstatic! She loved snow, and ice was snow. She could make it snow. That would literally be the best thing ever. In celebration of discovering her element, Her mother took her on a walk to the neutral grounds. It would be the longest they ever went thus far, but Lilith was excited to go. They left camp early and rounded the edge of the territory, taking the rout near the south region, She should have known better, that had been where the problems had been, but things had been peaceful there ever since Jone’s death. Everyone thought the hard part was over and peace was for sure, but while they walked, the noises of battle pierced the air. No one knew they had been there, so Nora hurried her kitten to the safety of the trees and went to check it out, telling Lilith to stay put. Like a good kitten she did, but a couple fire elements, locked in combat broke away from the others. Fire shot from their paws and mouths, scaring the young kitten, so she shuffled further back into the brush, hoping her mother would be back soon.  The fire was soon out of control and the nearby trees had caught fire. The battle died down as several water elements worked to put out the flames, but the tree Lilith huddled under was already blacked from the blaze. She had managed to avoid injury up until then, but a loud crack quickly changed that. A large, flaming overhead branch fell towards the kitten. Lilith tried to scuttle out of the way, but her little paws couldn’t carry her all the way, and the edges of the branch caught her in the face. The flames were put out quickly and Lilith was hurried home to see a healer.

The flames had caused some burning on her face and speckled the rest of her pelt with burn parks while the branch itself had scratched her face and torn her left ear as well. While painful, the injuries had not caused fatal damage. Nora stuck near her kitten until the healer came to hear and told her the fire had damaged both her left ear and eye and she would probably lose the sight and hearing from them. Her sight went first, after the swelling went down, imagines went from dark blurriness, to just darkness. Her left ear had caused her a lot of pain, even soft noises had caused her pain on the left side, it was actually a blessing she lost the hearing as the pain went away with her ability to hear the sounds that had caused it.

She was allowed to start her training on time, given she had chosen to be a hunter and being told she would have to take it easy for a little while.

Apprenticeship:
Lilith ultimately decided to become a hunter in order to further the followers agenda. She would be able to wonder the territory without seeming suspicious as well as be seen as a more docile, defensive cat while secretly receiving training from her father. Thanks to her father, she already had the basics of hunting down, so she would be able to excel quickly. Her sudden blindness did cause an issue though, thankfully the leader had thought of that and assigned her to a older she-cat named Tiano who was blind in one eye as well.

Tiano insisted Lilith become more independent, and therefor was not constantly watching her. She was trust worthy right? Allowing Lilith many opportunities to sneak off and do her own thing. She held back some of her skills, allowing the façade that she needed help. Her mother insisted on meeting her father alone for a little while, giving her daughter a chance to heal and improve. When she returned Lilith begged to hear about him and she was indulged to hear her father was worried about her, but glad to hear she was getting over it. She had to wait until the next month to see him again, and by then she had already received her second spell, cold feet. Lilith had insisted she only take defensive spell, pretending that she didn’t want to hurt anyone, but really she already had some of the skills to attack an opponent, and wanted to be under estimated. When she saw her father next she was able to show him how she had improved, and he even showed her a couple of fighting moves for her to practice once he learned that her guide was a little too trusting. Lilith was glad to have something to do, and when she inevitably was ‘forced’ to take the move scratch, adding some much needed power to her claws.

Around then, the voices started. Lilith began hearing things in her left ear, things no one else seemed to be hearing. At first they were little whispers, not loud enough to understand, like sound carried on the wind. She ignored it at first, believing she was just imagining things, but as they started getting louder, she could make out the words, they were talking about her, and her clan mates, calling someone a liar or not to trust someone. Lilith went first to her mother, telling her what she had been hearing, close to tears she wasn’t sure what to think. Her mother was astounded, asking what they had been saying, if these things had tried to hurt her, of course they hadn’t. Nora determined that Bane and dark spirits were speaking to her daughter and immediately set up a meeting with her father. Vadil was astounded. He wasn’t sure what to think, but once he heard she was beginning to see these spirits he immediately spread the word among the other followers. She was told to stay quiet about everything, but relay what the spirits were telling her. The others felt that perhaps Bane himself was speaking to Lilith, trying to bring news to his followers.

She worked hard, growing bigger and stronger. The little speckled burns that had decorated her pelt before healed over, the fur growing back, as if it never happened, and the scar on her face smoothed, less red and bright then when she got it. She had adjusted well, and had become less dependent on others. She could defend herself and her she had become a skilled hunter. It was only a matter of time before she would be promoted to a full hunter in addition many followers had heard of her condition and peaking the interest of some of the higher ups. She hoped this development would further her dream of joining the followers.

Hunter:
At graduation she received winter winds. She was pleased as it was a good build up spell for more powerful ones she hoped she would be able to gain, slowly but surely.  As an adult, her mother allowed her to take on more responsibilities. She knew her daughter could handle herself, thanks to the training her father gave her, and Nora no longer worried about a cocky bounty hunter hurting her when she was on her own. Not that many would even think about it, either  because of Videl her father, or Lilith herself. The rumors of her possibly being visited by Bane, whether they were true or not was yet to be proven,  had spread throughout the followers, and if they were true, no one wanted to get on her bad side.

Everyone thought she was so laid back, but her little walks were not her being her secretive self, but meeting up with a bounty hunter. She had been doing this since she was little, so no one thought much of it, which she used to her advantage. At home, she was the laid back, quiet girl, but away, she had connections. She was afraid of no one and nothing. She was powerful, and it didn’t take long for her to con her way into both blood chill and impale, both highly dangerous spells, but leader trusted her, she had never done anything to make them think ill of her. She broke up fights, never started them, so she was trusted to only use them when needed.

As she grew, so did her visions. Sometimes she would dream of dark cats coming to her, speaking to her, telling her things she wasn’t entirely sure she wanted to know, but at every meeting, she recounted them all. She wanted to prove her loyalty to the followers, hoping that one day she would be taken away from the east region to work with them. She dreamed of being prized among them. She wanted to be useful, so she stuck close to her clan mates, seeming nosy, but good natured, when in reality she was selling out their darkest secrets for nothing at all.

RolePlay Sample:

from :iconthe-rainfall-effect:

The rain pattered on as it always had while Rapidpaw skirted the edge of camp, slipping out the entrance without much difficulty. His paws immediately sank into the soft mud with a quiet squishing sound that made his nose wrinkle. The young tom was no stranger to mud, but the weird grainy feeling between his toes made his claws curl. The rain poured with thunder roaring over head, for once the weather was actually helping Rapidpaw, the noise covered up his quick steps and the rain masked his scent.

Rapidpaw wasn't exactly 'sneaking out' per-say, he wasn't supposed to be doing anything, he could be lounging in his warm nest right now, but instead he was going to to meet Leopardpelt. The two had run into each other a few days before, but the meeting had been brief and they had agreed to meet up later. Having a friend was still rather new to the young tom. HE had been antsy all day, feeling he would be caught any moment, but they weren't really braking the rules right? Neither of them were trespassing, and no one was stealing prey, speaking of which. Rapidpaw made his way down to the river, skidding down through the soft earth and tossing bits of gravel as he descended to the gushing river bank. IT took him a few seconds to grasp his bearings and locate a bit of a groove in the stones. It took a few seconds for the cat to pull out a fish from under the rocks. He had stashed it away earlier in the day to hide it away from the mud and anything else that might want to have a free meal. Surprisingly, Rapidpaw had caught the thing himself, it had taken him most of the morning, but he had managed to catch two, one he took back to camp, and the other had a slightly different destination.

Rapidpaw gripped the fish gently in his teeth, trying not to crunch down on the delicate bones. HE climbed back up the bank, his claws sinking into the ground without purchase. His shoulders strained under the weight but he managed to pull himself up. Rapidpaw continued along the edge of the river bank, as he traveled further and further away from the River clan camp, the rain slowed to a heavy drizzle. He blinked water out of his eyes as he neared four trees. Heavy limbs loomed over the tom, guarding him from most of the rain. He sighed, his sightless eyes glancing over the large clearing as he listened for any signs of movement. It seemed he had made it there first. Rapidpaw placed the fish at his paws, deciding to stick near the river clan side of four trees so he might have an excuse if he were stumbled upon by a cat that wasn't Leopardpelt. The grey tabby stretched, digging his claws in the firm grass as he settled in to wait for the shadow clan warrior.
